Me llamo Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi y soy de la India. Me encantan todas las verduras y me hago mi propia ropa. Soy un buen abogado y lucho por los derechos del hombre y contra la injusticia social. Me meten en la cárcel varias veces pero yo no me enfado. Y sigo luchando hasta que consigo la independencia de mi país. 

Por eso me empiezan a llamar Mahatma, que significa alma grande.

 

-Señor Gandhi, ¿desde hace cuánto lleva gafas?

-Desde mi más tierna infancia. Noté que las necesitaba porque no distinguía bien un elefante de un caracol.

-¿Qué es lo que más le gusta de llevar gafas? ¿Y lo que menos?

-Lo que más me gusta es que me da un aire misterioso y me hacen juego con el bigote. Lo que menos es que en la India nos gusta mucho darnos besos y abrazos y, claro, luego me paso el día limpíandolas.

-¿Qué opina de las lentillas?

-Desgraciadamente, en mi época aún no se han inventado. Pero yo creo que me gustan más las lentejas.

-¿Qué le parecen las ofertas de 2x1 en gafas?

-¡Fenomenal! En la India somos un montón de gente y no tenemos mucho dinero ¿sabes? Así que cualquier oferta de este tipo me parece genial. Ahora bien, a mí me gustan mis gafas así que no me las cambio. Por cierto, el 2x1 en pizza vegetal me parece también una gran idea.

-Cuando duerme, ¿deja las gafas en la mesilla de noche o duerme con ellas puestas?

-Me las quito siempre, porque en sueños veo muy bien. Las dejo sobre el libro que leo antes de dormir. Ahora estoy con uno de indios y vaqueros, que me encanta.

I've been put several times in prison, but I don't get angry. And I keep on fighting until I get the independence of my country.

That's why they start calling me Mahatma, that means great soul.

-Mr. Gandhi, how long have you been wearing glasses?

-Since early infancy. I realized that I needed glasses because I couldn't distinguish between an elephant and a snail.

-What do you like best about wearing glasses? And what do you like least?

-What I like best is that they make me look enigmatic, and that they match with my moustache. And what I like least about wearing glasses is that I have to clean them all the time, since in India we love to hug and kiss each other.

-What do you think about contact lenses?

-Unfortunately, in my time we haven't got them yet. Anyway, I like any kind of contact.

-What's your opinion about 2 for 1 glasses offer?

-Fantastic! In India there are loads of people and we don't have much money, you know. So any offer like this sounds great to me. By the way, I think that 2 for 1 in vegetable pizza is also a brilliant idea.

-When you go to bed, do you leave your glasses on your bedside table or do you sleep with your glasses on?

-I always take off my glasses, because I see perfectly clear in my dreams. I leave them on top of the book I read before I feel asleep. Now, I'm reading one about cowboys and indians. Love it!
